Resource Base and Library

The Health Promotion Staff Resource Base and Library aims to support local communities in Knowsley in a number of ways. By helping people to become better informed about their health and wellbeing we can encourage them to choose healthier lifestyles. Resources focus on key health themes including: Alcohol, Healthy Eating, Mental Health, Physical Activity, Sexual Health, Tobacco, Breastfeeding Child & Maternal Health, Cancer, Cardiovascular Disease, Dental Health and Immunisation.

By providing current information and raising awareness in local communities we can help to reduce health inequalities and encourage people to make healthier choices for themselves and their families from birth onwards.

All resources are available to anyone working in the Knowsley area (clinical and non clinical staff) that has an interest in health promotion and improvement.

Resources include leaflets, posters, models and audiovisual aids, teaching packs, DVDs and games. Each resource communicates health messages consistent with the key health themes and are available free of charge to all users.
