Knowsley Active Challenge
This year's Knowsley Active Challenge takes place on Wednesday 23 May 2012.
This year for the first time, the event will take place in the evening, in the grounds of Knowsley Hall. There are also changes to the entry criteria, and again for the first time it's possible to enter as a single entry or pair, in addition to the usual team entry.
The event offers a wide range of activities for all ages and abilities, and there will also be an Olympic themed village with entertainment for alll the family.

Basketball Tigers in Knowsley
The 'Mersey Tigers' Basketball Team will be based at the new Leisure and Culture Park in Huyton for the 2011/12 season.
The team which has reached 3 national finals last season will now have a permanent home which will help develop the teams potential as well as bringing a professional basketball to Knowsley.
The Tigers will further strengthen Knowsley's fine sporting tradition and offer opportunities for the community to get involved.

Knowsley Small Grants for Health Scheme
The aim of the Knowsley Small Grants for Health Scheme is to support community health initiatives by providing relatively small amounts of money to groups to help improve the health of the residents of Knowsley.
Funding available from the Knowsley Small Grants for Health Scheme has been increased. Single grants can now be up to £1,250. Groups can receive a maximum of £2,500 in grants in any one financial year (April to March).
The aim of the scheme is to support community health initiatives by providing relatively small amounts of money to groups to help improve the health of the residents of Knowsley.
